  • State data shows that despite December’s record-breaking $26 million in recreational cannabis sales, overall 2025 sales were lower than 2024 as medical sales dropped by $21 million. Prices have fallen from $39.70 to $33.67 & retailers now number 61 licensed vendors offering hybrid licenses.  The Hour

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk now offers winter wildlife cruises — featuring gray and harbor seals and migratory birds — with ticketed trips available most weekends through March. Visitors can explore Long Island Sound’s natural life on the R/V Sound Explorer.  Connecticut Public

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Connecticut officials advised Norwalk businesses on Tuesday to round down cash totals to the nearest five cents — a measure required by state law during the national penny shortage to prevent charging more for cash payments.  The Hour

  • Two Norwalk islands are back on the market at $3.5 million each — Calf Pasture Island, which has an A-frame house, and East Betts Island, featuring a bungalow and natural land bridge are available. Both were part of the proposed multi-use Hamlet at Saugatuck development plan.  The Hour
