South Windsor native Jack Hathaway joined the International Space Station crew after a Friday launch from Florida aboard a SpaceX Dragon, beginning an eight-month mission.
He is making his first space trip as his team replaced crew evacuated last month.

Norwalk native Mac Forehand earned 183 points during Sunday's qualifying run at Milan's Livigno Air Park and advanced to the Men's Freeski Big Air final; he will compete Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in his second Olympic appearance (he opted for a straight jump on his final attempt).
