🏛️ Government
The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a tentative settlement with Westport resident Bryan Terzian to end two lawsuits over zoning changes at South Main Street—avoiding trial risks, the commission said.
The settlement now awaits final court approval after a remote status conference on March 25 at 10 a.m.
On March 26th, Connecticut's top election official, Stephanie Thomas, said a White House executive order that requires proof of citizenship for voter registration was unlawful+ and could make it harder for eligible residents with challenges like missing documents.
She noted that many safeguards were already in place+ and that Attorney General William Tong was reviewing legal options to protect state voting practices.
