On Monday, the Norwalk Charter Revision Commission voted to lower the required petition signature threshold from 8% to 4% of registered voters and reduce the number of electors needed from five to four while keeping the $25 fee and 25-day signature window unchanged.
The final recommendations will be sent to the Common Council for a decision on the referendum for a November ballot (the change aims to make initiating a referendum easier).
