- ➤ A car struck a moped at the intersection of West Avenue and Reed Street just before 4 a.m. in Norwalk, killing 52-year-old Jose Olavarria when he later died at the hospital after first responders treated him—police said the driver stayed on scene—while authorities seek further information. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Connecticut lawmakers are weighing a bill that would require libraries to set clear rules for handling book challenges—if a book is challenged, it cannot be re-challenged for three years—and protect librarians by ensuring that books are not removed solely because they offend some readers. Sunset Stroll
The Sunset Stroll will be held at The Point at Norwalk Cove. We will have passed around appetizers, entrees, and a signature drink. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
