Norwalk fire officials said a home on Lockwood Lane was severely damaged by a fire on Sunday afternoon—one occupant was displaced and received help from the Red Cross while several birds died and the cause is under investigation.

A Norwalk resident was displaced and several birds died when a fire spread from the kitchen to the entire first floor of a Lockwood Lane home around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday—officials confirmed that no people were hurt and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident.
