  • Amazon Prime Video will debut the final season of This Summer I Turned Pretty on July 16—featuring 11 episodes that follow a love triangle where Connecticut native Christopher Briney faces his own brother for Isabel 'Belly' Conklin’s affection.  The Hour

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Wildlife officials reported that black bears entered at least 67 homes last year — the highest number recorded — and urged residents to remove bird feeders and secure their garbage to prevent attracting bears.  Connecticut Public

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Connecticut DOT launched the Drive Less Connecticut Climate Challenge on Earth Day, urging residents to use public transit, bike, walk or telecommute to cut single-occupant trips and lower emissions; the challenge runs through May 31 and offers gift cards up to $500. The program aims to reduce travel by 550,000 miles while saving on gas and car maintenance — planting trees for every 17 trips avoided.  The Hour

HEALTH NEWS

  • Norwalk resident Nicole Heller will mark 10 years since her life-saving double lung transplant in August 2015—she now works as a licensed social worker and advocates for organ donation in honor of the 17-year-old donor who gave her a second chance.  The Hour

  • Sunset Stroll

    The Sunset Stroll will be held at The Point at Norwalk Cove. We will have passed around appetizers, entrees, and a signature drink. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
