  • The East Norwalk Neighborhood Association is hosting its 7th Annual Community Shredding Event today from 9 to 11 a.m. at the East Norwalk Library parking lot at 51 Van Zant St, letting 06855 residents shred up to 3 boxes free with fees for extra boxes and for other ZIP codes.  Nancy On Norwalk
  • Malta House will host its annual gala on May 8 at Woodway Country Club in Darien to raise funds for housing and support services for pregnant and parenting mothers experiencing homelessness. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Norwalk’s Board of Estimate and Taxation cut the school budget increase from 4.91% to 4% on Wednesday night, leaving Superintendent Alexandra Estrella disappointed as the final education budget dropped to $257 million from the proposed $263 million.  The Hour

  • A new report from the American Lung Association finds Fairfield County has the worst ozone pollution east of Texas—this worsening air quality may lead to more asthma cases and emergency room visits as local traffic and climate change contribute to the risk.  Connecticut Public
