  • Wilton's long-standing 'Minks to Sinks' tag sale accepts donations until Thursday at a giant white tent on Rt. 7 and School Road and will hold its weekend sale on Saturday and Sunday, benefiting Norwalk's Family & Children's Agency and building on a 90-year tradition—an impressive local effort.  News 12 Connecticut

  • Independent Venue Week will offer $30 ticket deals for concerts in Norwalk and other cities — featuring acts like Jon Batiste and Modest Mouse — and runs from June 28 to May 10, giving locals affordable options to enjoy live music.  The Hour

ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA reported that Connecticut gas prices rose on Monday to an average of $4.21 per gallon—a 17-cent increase from last week—amid rising oil prices and strained U.S.-Iran talks. Gas prices also increased in the New Haven, Waterbury, and Bridgeport areas while some stations offered rates under $4 per gallon.  The Hour

  • Bette’s Bake Sale Bonbons have been recalled in Connecticut due to a labeling error that failed to list walnuts — customers with tree nut allergies should return any boxes purchased between Apr. 14 and Apr. 20 for a full refund.  The Hour

  • UConn guard Solo Ball will sit out next season after tests revealed two ruptured tendons in his left wrist, and he will undergo surgery soon. He is set to return as a redshirt senior in 2027-28 at UConn — a decision to protect his career and stay close to his team.  The Hour
  • Robert MacIntyre and Shane Lowry will compete in the Travelers Championship in June at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, joining a star field that includes world number one Scottie Scheffler. The tournament announced their inclusion Tuesday.  The Hour
