  • Connecticut breweries Athletic Brewing and Diageo were named on a Top 50 list by the Brewers Association based on 2024 sales and production data. Athletic Brewing earned the number 8 spot among craft breweries and number 18 among overall brewing companies—showing local craft brewers continue to earn strong recognition despite lower production volume.  The Hour

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Connecticut public schools are restricting YouTube on student devices to block non-educational videos—Norwalk officials said teachers can still access approved content for lessons while community members urge more limits. Other districts plan to adjust policies further this school year to enhance online safety and resource sharing.  The Hour

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Fifty union workers and local officials gathered Saturday morning at Oak Grove to protest alleged labor violations on a public housing project managed by the Norwalk Housing Authority — organizers cited falsified payroll records, unpaid workers’ compensation and over $380,000 in back wages and penalties. City and state leaders, including Mayor Harry Rilling and State Sen. Bob Duff, backed the rally — calling for stricter enforcement and union job protections.  Nancy On Norwalk

There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
