GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Lamont said on May 13 that a $1.5 million state grant will fund the northern part of the Norwalk River Valley Trail — a key step in the Community Investment Fund 2030 program. The 30-mile trail will eventually connect Calf Pasture Beach with Rogers Park through nearby towns — and studies will check its local impact. Nancy On Norwalk
- ➤ Norwalk Police Department held its annual memorial ceremony at police headquarters on Monroe Street in South Norwalk to honor four fallen officers (Sgt. Stratton, Officer Gorton, Sgt. Fera, and Officer Carias) who lost their lives while serving the city. The event took place ahead of National Police Week, which begins May 15. The Hour

Sunset Stroll
The Sunset Stroll will be held at The Point at Norwalk Cove. We will have passed around appetizers, entrees, and a signature drink. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
