- ➤ First graders at Concord Magnet School unveiled colorful sculptures at Fodor Farm (328 Flax Hill Road) on May 14 as part of the eleventh-year collaboration with Silvermine Arts Center that linked classroom learning with the natural environment, and the artworks remain on display for the public. - ➤ Yesterday, a Connecticut nonprofit study found that 80% of at-home child care providers in our area lacked reserved funds for emergency repairs and safety upgrades, a shortfall that risks worsening the shortage of day care spaces. - ➤ The Charter Revision Commission will hold a public hearing Tuesday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers at 125 East Avenue (residents may join in person or via video conference to comment on proposed charter revisions). City of Norwalk

- ➤ Today, Dr. Oraedu, who treats nightshift workers, urged Connecticut residents to stay hydrated, sleep for at least seven hours, and eat a balanced diet because working nights heightens the risk of cancer, heart disease and mental health issues. The Sunset Stroll will be held at The Point at Norwalk Cove. We will have passed around appetizers, entrees, and a signature drink. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
