  • Norwalk Chamber will host the 2026 Small Business Awards at Norwalk Inn & Conference Center on June 3. The event begins with an 8 a.m. buffet and features Connecticut State Comptroller Sean Scanlon and raffle prizes including Mets & Yankees tickets.  Nancy On Norwalk
  • A Norwalk resident won a $50K prize from the Connecticut Lottery on Monday by scratching a 5X the Money 19th Edition ticket at Family Market at 72 Taylor Ave (with odds of 1 in 742857). The win marks a rare lottery success in the community.  The Hour
  • On Monday morning, the West Norwalk Meeting House held a ribbon-cutting to mark major restoration progress on this historic community space; about 30 community members, including state Sen. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • State and federal scientists are studying coastal waters using pink dye from Norwalk Wastewater Treatment Facility as part of the first shellfish safety review in 30 years; the study will assess shellfish beds and run through May 22 — officials stress the dye is safe — while data is analyzed.  Nancy On Norwalk

HEALTH NEWS

  • Norwalk released a Priority Plan for Youth Mental Wellbeing, built over four months by local youth and experts, to support students who feel unsafe and disconnected.   • The NFHS approved basketball rule changes that require three-tenths of a second to be taken off the clock after an inbound pass and allow officials to use a silent count for end-of-quarter timing issues. The new rules will guide high school games statewide during the 2026-27 season.  The Hour
