- ➤ Two Norwalk beaches reopened Sunday morning after they closed Thursday because of elevated bacteria levels; the city Health Department will monitor water quality from Memorial Day until Labor Day—ensuring safe swimming conditions for local residents. The Hour
- ➤ Last Saturday, House of Heroes Connecticut and Knights of Columbus Bishop Fenwick Assembly repaired veteran Willie Jones’s home in Norwalk — updating his porch and deck while installing a handrail and interior grab bar — as part of their effort to improve safety. - ➤ A Memorial Day swimming fundraiser at Velo-CT in Norwalk honored Jon Barnard, a Bridgeport veteran who died after a 13-year battle with prostate cancer, and raised funds to help cancer patients pay for transportation, wigs, and cash assistance. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
