ECONOMY NEWS

  • Eversource will file its rate case this summer for a hike that, if approved, raises local delivery charges by 13% starting July 1, 2027, adding about $25 monthly to average bills as regulators review the proposal.  The Hour

EDUCATION NEWS

  • About 300 student artworks are on display at Norwalk Art Space (455 West Ave.) until June 4, following the Citywide Student Art Show’s opening on May 21. The exhibit welcomes visitors Wednesday–Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Hour

HEALTH NEWS

  • Planet Fitness will offer a free summer workout pass for teenagers aged 14 to 19 from June 1 to Aug. 31 at local fitness centers. Eligible teens must pre-register and have a parent's waiver — if under 18 — to gain a 20% Gymshark discount.  The Hour
  • United Way of Connecticut said that since the 988 hotline launched in 2022, suicide rates dropped 18% in CT and nine states, even as a local team began answering calls in 5 seconds in November 2025 — 988 CT handled 3,353 chats and texts early this year with 21% from under-18s.  News 12 Connecticut
