Connecticut’s Housing Choice Voucher Program awards rental help by lottery and residents register online to join waitlists when slots open.
Under the program, participants pay 30% of their income for rent while the voucher covers the gap—applicants must provide proof of income and meet income limits.
State Sen. Tony Hwang said lawmakers must act to lower housing costs amid a controversial bill and urged reforms to help residents manage expenses.
Meanwhile — the University of New Haven president outlined plans for an entirely new campus.

Sunset Stroll
The Sunset Stroll will be held at The Point at Norwalk Cove. We will have passed around appetizers, entrees, and a signature drink. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
