- ➤ After a successful test run in California, Florida, and New York, Shake Shack launched its Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake nationwide on Tuesday at its eight Connecticut locations. The limited-time shake—sold for $9.49—has pistachio frozen custard mixed with toasted dough and a crackable chocolate shell and was not sold at stores in stadiums, airports, arenas, travel plazas or museums. - ➤ The Norwalk Board of Education passed its budget for the next fiscal year after Mayor Harry Rilling said the city found an extra $500,000 to save six special education jobs and restore 61 positions amid weeks of debate. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting July 1, Norwalk will begin a new solid waste pickup contract using automated, side-loading trucks that accept only uniform 65-gallon buckets—homes have received new black and red garbage bins while blue recycling bins stay the same. Apartments, condos, and businesses will no longer get city trash and recycling pickup, so these groups must use transfer stations or private services for waste disposal. News 12 Connecticut
