Norwalk middle school students’ winning poems are now on display on Wheels buses as part of the Words in Transit project—organized by Norwalk Public Schools and the Norwalk Transit District.

A ceremony was held on Saturday, June 13, and the display will run for two months.

New consumer protection rules will take effect July 1 to crack down on junk fees, price gouging and hidden repair costs in Connecticut – with businesses required to show all costs in advertised prices.

The Attorney General’s office will enforce these rules with penalties of up to $25,000 for violations.

Connecticut approved a law that lets banks & credit unions offer savings accounts for first-time homebuyers to earn state tax deductions and employer credits.

Future buyers can open accounts in 2026 with limits of $2,500 for singles or $5,000 for couple filers.
