The Social Equity Council will distribute $36 million from recreational cannabis sales to support neighborhoods hit by the War on Drugs, including funding for Norwalk groups through its new R2 Program.
Applicants can receive up to $300,000 over three years by July 15.
Venezuelan Association of Connecticut and local aid groups are meeting today to plan help for those affected by Wednesday's deadly earthquakes in Venezuela.

State environmental officials launched a new 44-foot research vessel Friday near Old Lyme to monitor water quality across Long Island Sound.
The $2.2 million boat — funded by an EPA grant — will collect samples to detect issues that could lead to beach closures.

Over 1,500 locals compete for a spot on the US Open Ball Crew, which offers hourly pay, meal allowances and courtside access along with exclusive designer uniforms.
Applications will open online in April for this competitive role at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
