  • Jack Pavia, a student at American University, will host the upcoming NancyOnNorwalk podcast Community Ties that features conversations with local leaders sharing their visions for Norwalk. CRIME NEWS

  • Police say a Westport man stole $86K worth of construction equipment from a Norwalk site in May — the investigation is ongoing.  The Hour

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Three mayoral candidates explained their plans for leading Norwalk and working with the Common Council—each shared how their experience and ideas would help improve resident engagement and solve local challenges.   • On July 10th, local and state officials—including Mayor Rilling, Rep. Himes, and Commissioner Mosquera-Bruno—joined the Norwalk Housing Authority to break ground on Meadow Gardens, a major affordable housing redevelopment in South Norwalk. The $47 million project will replace an obsolete public housing site with 59 affordable units and a community center, and former tenants are invited to return once it is completed.  City of Norwalk
  • A new report found that most land use board members in Fairfield and New London counties are white + older homeowners even though many residents come from varied backgrounds.
