- ➤ The 25th annual Grassroots and PAL Tennis Jamboree took place Friday morning in Norwalk. Officers played friendly tennis matches with summer camp students and junior coaches (organized by Norwalk Stamford Grassroots Tennis and Education and the Norwalk Police Athletic League) to build trust through sport. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Wind toppled a canopy at a Sunoco gas station on Main Avenue in Norwalk on Monday around 5:30 p.m.—fire officials said no one was injured and the pumps had been closed at the time. The Hour
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today the Norwalk Board of Education appointed Jonathan Kinne as the school preparedness and safety supervisor; he worked as interim safety supervisor and dean of students at Jefferson Marine Science Elementary School from 2022 to 2025—helping run drills with local police—and he will now guide school safety plans across the district.
