- ➤ Following a successful debut in June, Norwalk will host an expanded SoNo Saturday Market on Saturday, July 26 at the 50 Washington Street Lawn with nearly 60 vendors offering food, crafts and live music while the city closes part of Washington Street from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—detours are marked on Monroe and North Main. - ➤ Jamie Cohen, a member of Scouts BSA Troop 222, led a clean-up on Shea Island on July 20 that cleared overgrown campsites by picking up trash, clearing brush and rebuilding fire pits+ the project also installed 'Leave No Trace' signs to encourage environmental care while Troop leaders invite new members to join Scouting. - ➤ Pratt and Whitney said its profits fell 9% to $492 million last quarter because a three-week machinist strike hurt work at its Connecticut plants—East Hartford and Middletown.
