- ➤ Police arrested Mario Osorio-Lopez on Wednesday in connection with a robbery at Veteran’s Park on July 12 after a juvenile said a victim was robbed by three men when he came to sell valuable items on Snapchat—one suspect had a knife, and he faces charges of robbery, larceny, risk of injury to a minor and conspiracy with a court appearance set later this month while more arrests are expected. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Connecticut set the dates for the 2025 tax free week from Aug. 17 to Aug. 23, and items like school clothing and footwear under $100 will be exempt from sales tax (some restrictions apply).
