Police arrested Mario Osorio-Lopez on Wednesday in connection with a robbery at Veteran’s Park on July 12 after a juvenile said a victim was robbed by three men when he came to sell valuable items on Snapchat—one suspect had a knife, and he faces charges of robbery, larceny, risk of injury to a minor and conspiracy with a court appearance set later this month while more arrests are expected.
Connecticut set the dates for the 2025 tax free week from Aug.
17 to Aug. 23, and items like school clothing and footwear under $100 will be exempt from sales tax (some restrictions apply). Retailers in person and online will offer the tax break (the policy helps families save on back to school shopping).
