- ➤ US Furniture moved its Orange store into a new 26,285-square-foot building on Boston Post Road, nearly 300 feet from its former location. - ➤ Norwalk police reminded residents of a $50,000 reward for any tip that leads to an arrest in the 2011 double murder on Avenue B that left Rickita Smalls and Iroquois Alston fatally shot in a black Honda sedan—officials said the case remains open and tips should be reported via their detective bureau. - ➤ Connecticut’s LIHEAP proposes a 21% increase in winter heating benefits for low-income families, and state lawmakers will review the plan today. - ➤ Norwalk will start its new Transit District Network on Monday to simplify bus routes from 14 to 7 with buses running every 15 minutes along main corridors—micro-hubs will be set up at Burnell and the local train stations to allow easier transfers and longer connection times while riders get in-person help on Monday morning.
