Norwalk’s first PGA Tour Superstore will open at 51 Richards Ave. at 9 a.m. on Aug.

Norwalk's Charter Revision Commission voted Tuesday against adding a Common Council member to the Board of Estimate and Taxation after rejecting proposals (nonvoting 7 to 2 and voting 5 to 3 with one abstention) amid debate over power and transparency.
The commission tabled six additional proposals and will vote on the final charter revisions on Aug. 12.

Officials say mosquitoes from 21 Connecticut towns have tested positive for West Nile virus this season, though no human cases have been reported so far — experts expect virus buildup to continue through September.
Residents are advised to use insect repellent and cover exposed skin during dawn and dusk.

In Norwalk, Erik Ofgang—local food critic—visited both the new 92,000-square-foot Wegmans and longtime favorite Stew Leonard’s in one day.
