  • Connecticut's festival season is back with fairs and contests planned statewide—Norwalk will host its Oyster Festival at 42 Seaview Ave from Sept. 5 to 7 featuring seafood and family activities.  Connecticut Public

  • Connecticut's Sales Tax Free Week gives shoppers a chance to save on clothing or footwear costing less than $100—customers save 6.35% off every $100 spent. Saavy and Grace owner Annette Norton said her Westport store already sees a 20% increase in business during this tax exemption period.  News 12 Connecticut

SPORTS NEWS

  • After a 5-1 win over Honolulu, Fairfield National will face Sioux Falls — S.D. in the Little League World Series winners bracket semifinal Monday at 7 p.m.; a win will advance the Metro Region team to the winners bracket final.  The Hour
  • Family and friends from Stafford Springs traveled to Fenway Park to support Miami Marlins pitcher Josh Simpson, who pitched two innings after a rough outing the previous night.   • Today the 2025 CIAC high school boys golf season kicks off with teams such as defending champions Fairfield Prep and Berlin returning key players.
