- ➤ Norwalk is becoming Connecticut’s first municipality to use a new state law to recover nearly $500,000 in unpaid zoning fines from 15 blighted properties. The city sent notices in July and will hold a tax sale at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18—property owners should contact the Tax Collector’s Office for more details. The Hour
- ➤ Connecticut’s congressional delegation has requested tens of millions in federal funds for nearly 170 local projects including affordable housing in Norwalk while lawmakers aim to secure at least $177 million before a Sept. 30th deadline to avoid a government shutdown. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Connecticut passed new work and reporting rules under Medicaid this summer that will affect over 300,000 adults aged 19 to 64, who must complete 80 hours of qualifying activity each month or risk losing coverage.
