Train fares increased 5% for Metro-North and CT Rail lines starting Monday, with South Norwalk to Grand Central peak fares now $18.25 and off-peak fares $13.50.

The state DOT approved the hike on July 30 to help support ongoing rail service upgrades — including projects like the upcoming WALK Bridge upgrade in Norwalk.
