  • Norwalk residents celebrate the city’s first Black Heritage Parade in 27 years today as streets in South Norwalk are closed off for the event; the parade starts at 11 a.m. at 84 North Main St, follows Haviland Street, and ends on Washington Street. A block party will continue at 50 Washington St Plaza until 6 p.m. — parade producer Mellodye 'Sweets' Green-Ragin said her team worked hard to bring Black excellence to life.  News 12 Connecticut

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Right-wing activist Charlie Kirk died on Wednesday after being shot at a college event in Utah and his death shook Connecticut college campuses where students plan to revive Turning Point USA chapters. Leaders at Sacred Heart and CCSU said they would honor Kirk’s legacy of free speech and debate amid widespread condemnation of the shooting—evidence that his influence among young conservatives remains strong.  The Hour
