  • The State of Connecticut announced the Connecticut Pizza Trail, featuring 121 pizzerias chosen from over 1,300 candidates based on more than 13,000 votes. The trail includes locations in Norwalk such as Colony Grill and Crust Issues—offering a new route for local residents to explore the state’s famed pizza tradition.  The Hour

CULTURE NEWS

  • Norwalk native Charli D'Amelio came back to Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night during a TikTok-themed episode and danced with Mark Ballas. They performed the samba whisk set to Sam Gellaitry's 'Assumptions'—a hit on TikTok—while also dancing to Charli XCX's 'Apple.'  The Hour

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Connecticut joined four other states and the FTC in suing Zillow and Redfin over a $100-million deal that may raise rental costs. Attorney General William Tong said the agreement gives Zillow too much market power and could limit fair competition in rental listings.  The Hour
  • Gov. Ned Lamont said he struggled to attract candidates for the PURA board after Chairwoman Marissa Gillett resigned, leaving only two members and canceling Wednesday’s meeting. He said he interviewed many people — some of whom turned him down — as he continues to search for experts in energy, water, and cyber security.  The Hour
  • Attorney General William Tong is joining state lawmakers in calling on Massachusetts to reduce untreated sewage discharges into the Connecticut River — his office is drafting a letter to the EPA to secure more support for upgrading wastewater systems while local officials warn of risks to public health and the environment.  The Hour
  • Mayor Rilling swore in Edward McCabe as chief of the Norwalk Fire Department yesterday (replacing retiring Chief Gino Gatto) as McCabe, a veteran with 31 years of service, showed a strong record in enhancing firefighter safety and equipment.   • Connecticut officials said that anyone using a kayak, canoe or other manually powered watercraft must wear a life jacket from October until June—this rule aims to keep paddlers safe in chilly water, and experts advise filing a boat plan and dressing in layers for added protection.  The Hour
  • Gov. Ned Lamont said the state may tap its $6.3 billion reserve fund if the partial federal shutdown continues—he expects a special session before Nov. 1 to cover funding gaps and support programs like WIC and SNAP through October.  The Hour
