  • Federal court in Bridgeport held jury selection on Friday for former school construction head Kosta Diamantis, who is accused on 22 felony charges including bribery and extortion. Among the 16 chosen is a Norwalk man from a Greenwich country club—he will serve as the trial begins at 9 a.m. today.  The Hour

  • Alex Pereira defeated Magomed Ankalaev by a first-round TKO at UFC 320 in Las Vegas on October 04, ending Ankalaev’s 14-match unbeaten streak and avenging their March loss—he regained the light heavyweight championship and brought the belt back to Danbury. The win came as Pereira used a huge right hand and powerful elbows to secure his victory, thrilling a sold-out arena.  The Hour
