  • Gorilla Grip will move its headquarters from Westport to Norwalk on November 3, expanding its space from 5,443 square feet to 15,500 square feet at 230 East Ave in the Brim + Crown complex. The growing retailer, which made $180 million in sales in 2024, will also hire four new local employees to support its expansion.  The Hour

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Norwalk’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved a one-year extension for the robot competition venue at 165 Water St. on Oct. 22, giving the applicant extra time to secure permits while it awaits a nearby church’s written approval— a pending step that will allow finalizing plans.  Nancy On Norwalk
  • City officials in Norwalk raised a sky-blue flag with the United Nations emblem to mark the group's 80th anniversary. Derick Demarche read the Secretary General's statement + Thomas Livingston read a proclamation that set Oct. 24 as United Nations Day in Norwalk.  Nancy On Norwalk

  • Fairfield Prep golfer Robby Rosati won a sudden-death playoff on the third hole at Mohegan Sun Golf Club on Oct. 26 — finishing with a 2-under-par 69 to capture the New England Championship meet. He tied for medalist laurels with competitors from Maine and New Hampshire.  The Hour

    The Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts proudly presents the explosive Broadway musical Footloose, opening Thursday night, Nov. 13 at 8 PM at The Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport and runs through Sunday, Nov. 16th. Brimming with vitality, heart, and hit songs, Footloose showcases the Conservatory’s outstanding musical theatre students in a production that celebrates the power of expression and the joy of dance and brings fresh life to this beloved story of a small town finding its rhythm again.
