Connecticut thriller author Tessa Wegert will release her new mystery, In The Bones, on Nov.

4 with a book launch party at Barrett Bookstore in Darien — the first installment of her North Country series — as the plot follows small thefts that lead to a deadly discovery. Wegert said she was inspired by a documentary on hidden living and plans to keep readers intrigued with this chilling tale.

No Connecticut Lottery players won the Mega Millions jackpot during Halloween night’s drawing — the prize rolled over to an estimated $800 million, while other winners received smaller amounts.

The next drawing is scheduled for Tuesday.

The UConn football team secured bowl eligibility with a 38-19 win over UAB at Rentschler Field on November 1—Joe Fagnano threw four touchdown passes and Skyler Bell caught three.
