  • Journey announced its farewell tour date for PeoplesBank Arena + the band, recognized as one of the best-selling groups by the RIAA, will soon perform one of its final shows for local fans.  The Hour

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Connecticut has spent millions managing homelessness through foster care, jail stays, and ER visits as a severe housing shortage leaves families struggling—lawmakers including Norwalk’s Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff say that more affordable housing options and quicker placement into programs will help solve the crisis.  The Hour
  • The FAA will cut flights by 10% at 40 airports today due to government shutdown staffing issues—travelers using high-volume hubs like JFK and LaGuardia may see reductions, while Connecticut airports report normal operations. Transportation officials say the move will also limit space launches to ensure safe operations.  The Hour

  • UConn men's basketball team will play UMass Lowell today at 7:30 p.m. at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford—both teams are 1-0—and the game is part of a multi-team event featuring matchups with New Haven and Columbia.  The Hour

    The Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts proudly presents the explosive Broadway musical Footloose, opening Thursday night, Nov. 13 at 8 PM at The Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport and runs through Sunday, Nov. 16th. Brimming with vitality, heart, and hit songs, Footloose showcases the Conservatory’s outstanding musical theatre students in a production that celebrates the power of expression and the joy of dance and brings fresh life to this beloved story of a small town finding its rhythm again.
