- ➤ Norwalk-based architect Jan Degenshein redesigned his home with level entrances, wide hallways, and door handles to help people with disabilities. - ➤ Caribbean organizations in Connecticut asked the governor’s office for help sending donated items to Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa devastated the island. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Norwalk will hold its Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at City Hall at 10:30 a.m.—the program will include a rifle volley salute, a rendition of Taps by Brien McMahon High School students, a performance by the American Festival Band, and remarks by guest speaker Dan Rosenthal. - ➤ Nearly 30,000 people on Access Health CT could lose their federal tax credits when ACA subsidies expire—forcing middle-income families to face a sharp rise in monthly premiums, as one couple may see their costs jump from $700 to over $2,000. - ➤ New Canaan won a 28-0 game against Staples on November 7 in Westport while coach Lou Marinelli was absent due to illness—assistant coach Chris Silvestri and key players Ryan Brooks and Henry Stein led the effort, and Marinelli is expected to return soon.
