- ➤ United Way of Connecticut is launching a grocery assistance fund to give $25 gift cards to families losing SNAP benefits under new eligibility rules. State Reps. - ➤ Milford officials have approached Stew Leonard's about opening a new grocery store after talks stalled in Orange — they are now discussing potential sites including a 68,000 sqft location at Silver Sands Plaza.
