- ➤ Connecticut educators now can use a new K-12 history curriculum tying lessons to America's 250th anniversary; the program offers hands-on projects, local field trips and themed lesson plans (teachers expect more integration in spring). The Hour

- ➤ UConn men’s basketball will play Xavier on New Year's Eve in Cincinnati. The Huskies are 12‑1 and aim to improve after a challenging matchup in 2023, with coach Hurley expressing strong confidence in his team's performance. The Hour
