CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Norwalk man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a man in the leg on Fiske Street in Fairfield on April 17th at 10:45 a.m.—the shooting arose from an ongoing dispute and police reported that he was already in custody on unrelated charges. News 12 Connecticut
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Area theaters announced their 2025-26 season with Western Connecticut State University set to perform 'The Comedy of Errors' on October 31, Music Theatre of Connecticut planning to run 'Rent' from Sept. 26 to Oct. 12, and The Bushnell Theater scheduling eight Broadway shows from September to June—Hartford Stage will present a spring run of 'Death of a Salesman' and TheaterWorks will start its 40th anniversary season in October. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On April 15, the Norwalk Charter Commission met to discuss updates to city rules on library oversight, board appointments for the Board of Estimate and Taxation, and term limits. Commissioners tabled changing the library appointment process, rejected shifting BET authority, and passed an amendment for geographic balance—planning to forward recommendations to the Common Council soon. - ➤ The DMV is offering extra appointments on select Mondays until May 5 for residents to get a Real ID before the May 7 deadline—AAA offices in several towns now provide additional scheduling options. Applicants must bring two forms of identification—such as a passport and a birth certificate—to meet federal requirements for domestic air travel. The Hour
- ➤ The Attorney General’s Office launched an investigation into companies that mishandled data after the Connecticut Data Privacy Act gave people the right to access, fix and delete their personal information. 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. — Norwalk Cove Marina Inc — Free entry — Explore new power and sailboat models displayed at the Prestige office by the marina.

Sunset Stroll
The Sunset Stroll will be held at The Point at Norwalk Cove. We will have passed around appetizers, entrees, and a signature drink. We will have elected officials and program participants as speakers. We will also have scavenger hunt for the guests to learn about all of our amazing programs. There will be a silent choice auction and a live auction with amazing items.
